As you get ready for Halloween, the web team at the Monterey Bay Aquarium has put a few treats in your bag for your enjoyment -- and that of your friends.
First, a very cool video, with a very cool soundtrack, of the aptly named bloodybelly comb jelly. It's a recently discovered species, documented by our colleagues at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute using its remotely operated deep-sea submersibles. Click the high definition option if you have the bandwidth.
Next on the list: Some clever Halloween E-cards, featuring a host of wondrous sea creatures, from spiny lumpsuckers to spookfish, vampire squid to ghost shrimp. They're all tricked out like posters from classic horror films. It's easy to click and send to friends and family. Enjoy!
Interesting!
