Joe Romeiro is an emerging underwater filmmaker with a passion for saving sharks. He first won wide attention for his short film, Death of a Deity, which was honored at the first BLUE Ocean Film Festival in 2009.
Now he's created another lyrical tribute to sharks, Nina Salerosa (Graceful Girl), shot in the Bahamas as a way to protect the sharks there -- and everywhere. (And he's not the only one standing up for sharks: Even survivors of shark attacks are urging governments and people to protect these incredible fishes.)
The beauty of Joe Romeiro's film, and his other works, speaks for itself.
